WONK UNIT ist eine der vielseitigsten und abwechslungsreichsten Bands, die London im Moment zu bieten hat. 2005 wurden sie von Alex nach Auflösung der Punkband The Flying Medallions ins Leben gerufen.
Punk in England war so tot und langweilig zu der Zeit. Doch mit dem zufälligen Aufeinandertreffen von Alex und zwei sehr talentierten Musikern, Drummer Mez Clough und Gitarrist Gavin Kinch, deren Art zu spielen Alex Songs plötzlich überfrisch erklingen ließen, gab es eine neue Punkrockhoffnung.

Eine in Europa einzigartige Band mit eigenem Sound, eigenem Humor, eigenem Festival und tief verwurzeltem DIY Background. Alex Brindle Johnson ist dabei als Lead Singer, Poet, Skater, Stage Performer und kreativer Motor das Herz der Band, von der nicht wenige behaupten, dass es das derzeit Spannendste sei, was es auf Europas Punkrockbühnen zu sehen gibt.

SCHNAPS sind ein kompromisslos, antifaschistisches Punkrock Duo, das seine Wurzeln in Hamburg und dem Harz hat. SCHNAPS sind 95 Jahre alt und musizieren seit 2000 in verschiedenen Bandformationen zusammen. Im Jahre 2019 beschlossen Ronald und Christoph ihre Musik auf das Wesentliche zu reduzieren. Hierzu kombinieren sie den Punk der Achtziger mit dem Hardcore der Neunziger und verpacken ihre politische Botschaft in Alltagsgeschichten, die sie in deutscher Sprache erzählen. Ein guter Punkrock Song sollte in zwei Minuten zum Punkt kommen und an diese Maxime hält sich Deutschlands Punkrock Duo #1 auf seinen drei bisher veröffentlichten Alben konsequent.

TEA EATER is a New York City based art/noise punk band led by Tarra Thiessen of Gustaf and Sharkmuffin. Their sound combines catchy hooks with sardonic lyrics about butter, killing your doppelganger, and how the DMV is the worst. Formed in 2022, Tea Eater quickly established themselves through their high-energy live shows and DIY ethos. Since the release of their first single “I’m Starting a Podcast,” Tea Eater have shared the stage with Thee Oh Sees, completed a successful residency at Bushwick venue The Broadway, and toured the U.S. East Coast.

Their debut album ‘Obsession,’ produced and mixed by Drew Vandenburg (Bambara/Faye Webster/Of Montreal), was released in the fall of 2023.

Keine 400 Songs später und nach etlichen Konzerten geht das Solo Projekt des 19 jährigen Ennio De Caro namens AIN'T UR ENN den nächsten Schritt. Das Album LANGUISH erscheint am 30. Mai 2025 auf Tomatenplatten.

Die Musik ist nicht einzuordnen - Herzzerreißender Bedroom-Pop trifft auf Japanese influenced Hyper-Indie-Pop-Rock. Y2K - Cybercore-Ästhetik trifft auf Emo. John Frusciante trifft auf Autotune a la Julian Casablanca. Ist das dann Nintendo-Rock? Oder Alex G. auf Crack? Zusammen mit den beiden Musikern, Cedric Lütolf /Bass und Patrick Widmer/Drums, lässt AIN’T UR ENN, live zum Trio angewachsen, dem Chaos den gebührenden Raum, Einflüsse von Fugazi / AT THE DRIVE IN und deren Urvätern MC5 werden sichtbar und die im Schlafzimmer produzierten Songs nehmen auf der Bühne eine wesentlich anarchischere, direktere Form an.

Since 2012, Markus and Frank—legends of the underground from KURT, TEN VOLT SHOCK and MAULGRUPPE — have channeled decades of raw energy and creativity into their duo YASS. With a sound that reimagines KRAFTWERK's precision and hypnotic mechanical monotony through the lens of noise, distortion, and relentless rhythm, YASS delivers a visceral fusion of Post-Punk,Noise, Kraut and irresistibly pulsing Synth loops.

Having toured Europe, the USA, Japan, and Australia since the '90s, Markus Brengartner and Frank Otto are no strangers to pushing boundaries. Between 2018 and 2023, they collaborated with Jens Rachut in the project MAULGRUPPE, crafting two critically acclaimed albums released on "Major Label".

Now, YASS is back with their third LP to be released in June 2025 on Crazysane Records—a highly anticipated evolution of their unique sonic universe.

YASS has created their own entirely unique sound by working with various samplers, loopers, extensive sound and vocal effects, as well as countless plugins. BÖ.SENBERG (ex César Palace) is the solo project of French drummer Vincent Redel (ex Electric Electric's member), currently also involved in the pharaonic band "La Colonie de Vacances".

BÖ.SENBERG blends minimalist music, cosmic drone, and pure rhythms, drawing influences from contemporary music to 90s house/techno and the experimental scene. The result is a tachycardic, percussive, disciplined performance where Vincent embodies a trance-inducing machine, inviting people to dance with nothing but a drum kit and effects pedals.

After 7 albums and more than 150 gigs the last 2 years, Vincent Redel (La Colonie de Vacances, Y3str, S.E.V.E.R.E. IN) has established himself as a sure value in French and international “electro/industrial” music. He has performed on huge stages and prestigious venues like : Bord de scène in Vitry le François, L'autre canal and the Mîchto Festival, Le Bon Moment Festival in Nancy , the Derivat Festival in Zadar (HR), the Schokoladen in Berlin (DE) , the legendary Festival de la Prairie in Agen, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2024 , in more than 20 countries in Europe.

Wer ein wenig im Internet sucht, findet immerhin ein Interview, in dem man zum Beispiel lernt, dass sie aus Darmstadt kommt. Darsombra is a trans-apocalyptic galaxy rock duo from Baltimore, Maryland, USA. Known internationally for walking the line between glam-prog-psych-stoner metal and site-specific installation performance art, their hallucinogenic live shows are often met with the following responses: “I didn’t know what to expect, but that was awesome”, “I’ve never seen anything like that before”, and “it was like tripping on acid, without the acid.”

Mit Jamaican Jazz und handfesten Reggae-Grooves bringen  Wood In Di Fire bei ihren Live-Sessions die Dancehall zum Toben. Was  als Jam-Projekt von Musikern aus verschiedenen Berliner Bands begann, hat sich zur festen Formation entwickelt. Doch  der Session-Gedanke ist  immer noch lebendig: Die Bandmitglieder und Gäste bringen die verschiedensten Einflüsse aus Reggae, Jazz, Ska, Latin und Afro-Beat mit und sorgen damit immer wieder für überraschende Kicks. 
Auf zahlreichen Touren durch Deutschland, Österreich, Frankreich, Spanien, Ungarn und der Schweiz begeisterten Wood In Di Fire ihr Publikum mit ihrer außergewöhnlichen, interkontinentalen, musikalischen Fusion auf treibenden Reggae Beats und Jazzy Grooves.
Seit das Projekt im Jahre 2000 startete, spielt Wood In Di Fire traditionell im Berliner „Schokoladen“. Der bis heute monatlich stattfindende Reggae-Jam wurde schnell vom Geheimtipp zum etablierten Termin der Berliner Reggae-Szene.

Kabumbayi, known professionally as Kabumbayi Joh, is a Congolese singer, songwriter, arranger, producer and multi-instrumentalist. His music is a fusion of jazz and soukous music, originally from the Congo. At the age of 8, Joh started singing in the church choir, but he couldn’t imagine taking up music as a profession until he won a music competition at his elementary school. Winning this competition encouraged him to start a career in music and record his first album “Nos âmes”.

Kabumbayi Joh draws deep inspiration from the everyday experiences of life, weaving stories of love, struggle, hope, and resilience into his music. Singing in French, English,Swahili, and Lingala, he creates a bridge across cultures and communities, delivering messages that resonate far beyond borders.

The Dream Bus lineup includes Dodo NKishi (Mouse on Mars) on drums, Skyline Sun on guitar, Paul Hoyle on bass, Nane Kahle on backing vocals, Sam Konzi and Kalle Zeier on guitars, Adam Pawel Dziewialtowski-Gintowt on percussion, and Mauricio Fleury on keys and flute. and some lovely interchanging dreamers!

DJ Gabi Monteiro, based in Berlin, born and raised in Chapéu Mangueira and Babilônia favelas of Rio de Janeiro. She loves blending soulful tunes with dance rhythms. Focusing on sounds from the Global South, her club sets feature a range of high-energy banger tracks like baile funk, dancehall, dembow and soca. She also curates groovy, sun-kissed sets with Highlife, Brazilian boogie, Arabic disco, samba-rock, salsa and cumbia.The selections are always filled with vibrant rhythms that make our bodies move organically.

 

Yok, Jahrgang 1962, steht seit 40 Jahren auf den Bühnen der Subkultur, des Punks und der antifaschistischen autonomen Linken. Quetschenpaua, kennste?! Neben der Taxifahrerei von Ende der 1990er bis Mitte der 2020er war er an 25 Musikalben beteiligt. 2013 erschien das erste Buch mit Taxi-Kurzgeschichten unter dem Namen PUNKROCKTARIF. 2019 kam seine Autonomografie NICHTS BLEIBT. Der gelernte Erzieher und Kriegsdienstverweigerer hat sein Leben dem DIY-Prinzip und dem Bruch mit bürgerlichen Konventionen gewidmet. (DIY = do it yourself)
